I read that making soup with the bones in the chicken was better for you – google bone broth, actually don’t…..So I stood at the chicken section shopping for the most expensive chicken I could find (I like to buy the one that was walked on the farm by a small girl while wearing a sweater and eating homemade cornbread) and chose one with bones. I said to the lady next to me “I can cut the skin off a chicken right?” She looked me up and down in my hot mess ensemble of a work from home day and said “um, probably not.” Oh, how right she was. OMG chicken skin is TERRIBLE! Bone in soup broth in OVER. It was SIX dollars cheaper per pound though. Now I know why.
